Our Mission

John "LJ" Hegwood, Jr., Jeremy Tyler (the top rated player in the class of 2010), Strahinja Kucinar, and Coach John Hegwood, take a couple of minutes out at the Pangos July 2008 All West Camp in Southern California. The Calgary kids loved the camp, got to meet and play with truly gifted gifted players from the West Coast of the United States and from Canada.

The Calgary Elite Basketball program endeavors to provide high-level players with the best possible basketball experience and assist them in achieving their post-secondary goals through basketball. This includes participation in elite camps and tournaments, outstanding coaching of fundamentals, and mentoring about the challenges in becoming a great student athlete.

The goal is to reach out to all basketball programs in order to assist athletes in achieving their post-secondary goals. Calgary Elite Basketball would like to bring the basketball community together as one, to support the objectives of giving high-level players the best opportunity possible.
